This year we stayed in Provo for Christmas. As much as we would have loved to be with family, Steve had an opportunity to work more shifts at time-and-a-half, and with the economy as it is we couldn't afford to pass it up. Something we have learned this year about holidays is that as wonderful as traditions are, they are a lot of work! It made us really appreciative for all our parents did in the past to make Christmas special.
Christmas morning before we ate breakfast we let Alex look at all of his presents and open the one he had been wiggling his way towards all week. He LOVES ribbons and this package had a nice shiney one. He wasn't really sure about the paper ripping part but he sure enjoyed his toys. He is one loved, son, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, and cousin. He even got a present from the people at PEEP! What a spoiled little guy. :-) Unfortunately he is a little scared of the presents that make noise right now--we think it is because of his recent ear tubes; he hears his world so differently then before.

Alex went down for his nap and our friend, Andrew came over to spend Christmas with us. He wasn't able to go home for Christmas so we were the next best thing. We enjoyed being able to share our home and Christmas with a friend.
Steve and I opened our presents while Alex was sleeping, and Steve gave a spiritual message about Christmas and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Alex got a great music set from Grandma Kimball and immediately took a liking to the bead tamborine. Andrew tried out the rest of them for Alex. :-)
This high chair was an early Christmas present we recieved at Thanksgiving from Omama & Opa. Alex got quite a few early presents (walker, car seat, and high chair). Thank you everyone for your wonderful gifts.

Leo has one of those Glow Worms and he absolutely loves it, but he wouldn't touch it until he was about a year old.
Thanks for sharing those 3 posts! I enjoyed seeing them. Alex sure has grown!
