Well it has been quite the last couple of months....busy as I'm sure most of you have guessed by my lack of blogging. :-) Highlight of major events:
1. Steve's mom came to stay with us during finals and watch Alex while we finished...or rather caught up...our winter semester.
2. We went to California for the 1st Gomm family reunion. Alex survived his first road trip across Nevada--he did amazing for a baby. What is usually a 11 hr drive only took us 13. Amazing! It was the first time we had seen my sister and her family since our wedding, and the first time we saw Oma & Opa since Opa's almost fatal kidney surgery. SO good too see everyone again!
3. Steve's brother, Quin returned from a 2 yr LDS mission in Germany and came to live with us during BYU's spring semester (yes our tiny little 2 bedroom apartment had 3 adults and a newborn baby). During his stay we had a ton of fun spending time with him, getting to know him (me & Alex), and catching up with him (Steve). He unfortunately caught the dreaded swine flu and I played away-from-home mama for 2 weeks while he was quarentined in Steve and my room (we had a campout on the futon). Amazingly, he was able to still finish his spring term with great acomplishment which is amazing being that one of his classes was Econ 110!
4. I've now started summer term with my intermediate sewing class. We move exteremly fast, but I'm loving it! I'll be making a zip-up hoody, man's taylored shirt, and a little girls dress for my projects.
5. Steve's working full time at the MTC still teaching and tutoring Portuguese missionaries.
6. Steve was recently called to be a counselor in the Young Men's Presidency at church. Now we are both working with the youth! It made Wednesday nights really interesting for a while.
7. Alex is growing like a weed! He is so happy almost all of the time and loves to discover new things. He is already a chatter box and we bet he will be an early talker. He weighs almost 16 lbs and is 5 months old tomorrow. He's kept his blue eyes and has a nice carpet of hair now. He's so much fun!

wow! You guys have been WAY busy! Swine flu?! really?! But look at you superwoman! I'm jealous of your sewing classes! Good luck! We need to hang out!

Thank you so very much for taking good care of Quin while he was sick. He wouldn't have made it without you two!
