2 month check up

Quick update: We took Alex in for his 2 month check up today. Amazing how fast time goes! The doctor is really pleased with his progress. Last week we visited the hip specialist and Alex was liberated (literally) from wearing the brace 24-7 to only wearing it at night. This has given him the chance to move around more and the Dr. noticed how much stronger he seemed to be. He's holding his head up a lot more now too. The Dr. said the rash that Alex has is probably eczema caused by the cold, dry climate we live in (we actually found this out last week). We've been massaging him 3x a day with eucerin cream and his skin is clearing up beautifully. Alex LOVES him massage time. :-) We were hopeful to come home monitor free today but the Dr. says 2 more weeks just to be safe. Alex is now 21.5 inches long and weighs 10 lbs 5.5oz. He's such a happy boy and both Steve and I are so glad he is part of our family. The last 4 nights he's slept 9 hours straight with one night at 10.5 hours!!! We know that this may not stay consistant...especially after getting his shots today....but we are grateful for every good nights rest we get.
