August

One Saturday we made a trip to Minnehaha Falls–a beautiful little oasis in the middle of Minneapolis.  We enjoyed walking around on the trails and had a relaxing picnic.  Alex loves being outside!

Steve headed off to the annual GenCon gaming convention in Indianapolis with the rest of his company. It was a fun and interesting 4 days.  Below is a link to the videos the company put out documenting the event.  It if watch closely, at the beginning of the Thursday video you'll see Steve demoing a game.

While Steve was gone, Alex and I spent our time going to the park and discovering some new ones.  We love going to the Roseville Central Park and one day we decided to explore the eastern side and the arboretum.  I love all the trees in Minnesota!

Mid August, we headed out to Utah for Steve's brother, Quin, and Lyndsey's wedding.  It was quite the adventure.  We rented a car for the first time, spent time trying to visit our friends we left behind, and had lots of fun. Congratulations Quin & Lyndsey!

Luncheon before the wedding

Alex's pillow was a lifesaver.  He ended up even taking a nap right here during pictures.
Alex struggled at the reception.  He wasn't too happy that his mommy and daddy were in the wedding party and had to be part of the procession. He tried to sick with us and his pillow the rest of the evening.
Our friends Rob & Shea happened to be in Utah while we were there and stopped by the reception to say hi.  We sure enjoy getting to visit with them a little and see their cute little Sam.
Notice the facial hair...I guess that's what happens when BYU students graduate after years of having to be clean shaven. :-)

Alex LOVE the slide show, maybe that's because the screen was like a giant TV. :-)

Saturday we had a mini Kimball reunion (minis Quin & Lyndsey of course) and had fun at the Zoo.

We stopped by the Losser/Harmon reunion and enjoyed some yummy potluck picnic food.

Alex had had enough by the end of the day so we went back to Aunt Connies, put Alex down for a nap, and then played some games with Brogan. We hadn't seen him for months and he still remembered the previous games we had played, and kept asking when we'd play the Eskimo game (Igloo Pop). We didn't bring that game, so we showed him a new game called Get Bit.  We all had fun posing our little people in creative poses.

On Preparation Day, the missionaries come to our home in the morning to play games.

This is one of Alex's favorite things to do...not our favorite thing
(luckily we've been able to break him of this)

This is another one of Alex's favorite things.  Alex love vibrations and loves when Steve practices his drum pad.

Here they combine 2 of their favorite things; drumming and BYU football.

Another new favorite thing....
The leaves are changing outside our window.  :-)
